or, we fund india
............................

If I remember right India is actually a net contributor in terms of foreign aid.

Rather than us just giving money to the Indian government because they are poor, the aid we give that goes to India can for example be part of global efforts to fight diseases.

The Christians have spoken.

Peace be with you is not for them nor loving thy neighbour or the parable of good Samaritan, no, the 5th biggest global economy should be turning its back on those in need and building its own Utopia were no one is homeless, were the NHS blossoms under its new £350m a week investment and the foreign aid budget is slashed....Fk the needy!
India has already said it wont do a trade deal with us until we agree to ease our immigration policy for their people.

The poor who have nothing are so well loved by New labour
............................

What does that even mean?

Introduction of the minimum wage, reduced child poverty, greatest investment in NHS since it began, massive investment in education, lowest national debt in decades, made the bank of England independent, introduced civil partnerships, saw the Good Friday Agreement over the line and introduced Devolution, introduced the Human Rights act...

Yeah, New Labour were bad for the poor.

I had to read this back twice, are there really posters out there who are comparing the EU to a fascist state
----

why the confusion?

I made it pretty clear what fascism is - after several posters dodged the question.

There's a simple reason why they dodged and it's exactly why I asked them - Its because their definition would / explanation would sound eerily similar to the European Union.

Whilst you are entitled to you opinion, the rest of us are also entitled to find your view utterly ludicrous.

As per comments yesterday (I assume you read the replies?) you have yet to provide any (accurate) evidence to back up your claim(s).

Metro refusing to hold his hands up and admit he made a balls-up with his theatrical assertion.

Only to be expected from the weakest wum on here.

It may have escaped your attention that each and every economic forecast, (before the ref) was based on Cameron invoking A50 directly after the result (as he said he would).

To date, nothing has changed. Other than a vote. All treaties, benefits, funding blocs remain in place. As I’m sure you are aware, A50 has yet to be triggered.

It also appears you are unaware that that EU implemented social housing (the ‘Housing Europe’ programme) initiatives throughout Europe.

Yet the UK lags behind the majority of Europe.

Why do you think this is?

Consecutive UK government’s inability/unwillingness to address the problem, or the EU not being able to force a “sovereign nation” to alter its social housing strategy?

Economic forecasts are based on guesswork because they have no idea what terms we'll leave on, either way people heard all this info and still voted to leave.
