They've been in power for what, 8 weeks? and parliament hasn't even sat for half of that due to summer recess. I don't get what people expect them to have done in this timeframe.
The budget will be the one where we can finally issue some judgement but even then, it's their first one with 4.5 more years to go so writing them off solely on that seems silly, well unless it's a Truss V2 that crashes the economy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And in that time they've given way above wage increases to the railways and junior doctors with no return on improvement other than the guarantee of further strikes 9I suppose someone might call that an improvement) , whilst depriving all but the very poorest of pensioners of a paltry heating allowance which means everything to the vast majority of them.
The savings on the fuel allowance are some £1.5bn reportedly whilst the cost of the increased wages are some £10bn. All to prevent the cost and disruption caused by strikes which they have spectacularly failed at.
All capped off with the gloomiest prediction of significant austerity and taxation to come in a couple of months because of the black hole which half comprises the results of their own political choices.
An auspicious 8 weeks indeed.

What’s worse is Tories blaming Labour for not enacting policies that are against Tory economic policy, or complaining when they enact policies that are actually similar.
I think people should be very concerned at Labour potentially using austerity policies. But Tories can get in the facking bin complaining about it given what they’ve subjected this country to.

This reminds me of when Tories blamed Labour for the global financial crash
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s worse is Tories blaming Labour for not enacting policies that are against Tory economic policy, or complaining when they enact policies that are actually similar.
I think people should be very concerned at Labour potentially using austerity policies. But Tories can get in the facking bin complaining about it given what they’ve subjected this country to.

Yeah course you do, evidenced by you blaming deserved public sector pay rises on Labour
Typical Tory 'we broke it you fix it ideology'. This happens when the PM and ministers know there's no risk of consequence for their actions and in fact they end up enriched making a fortune. The likes of Johnson, Truss et al should be in court for their actions in office.

Junior Doctors were being asked to save lives, working 60 a 70 hours weeks on a pittance.
It take a special kind of Tory to even think about saying they don’t fully deserve it.

With no return on performance being the issue. When wage awards are given they usually involve some improvement, savings elsewhere or something tangible. That’s the usual course of events

That would make a bit of sense if they were chronically underpaid to start with. They were on less than minimum wage ffs.
