I think we can assume that normal service has absolutely resumed at Celtic, sadly. I am well aware that it's early July, but the lack of activity is telling imo. Obviously I don’t know what is going on in the background, but, silence and Lawwell there........

I could buy that argument IF we were likely to be in the market for players currently at the Euros, but we won’t be. We also don’t have our usual excuse of waiting to see if we qualify for the CL before assessing budgets. Nah, much more likely Pistol is focussing all his energies on how much we can SELL our best assets for, bank that, and only then consider splashing some cash … or, more accurately, rake around in the bargain bucket for a few more “projects” on deadline day. That’s his MO, and doubt it will ever change.

I get that but sometimes it takes the big clubs to starting moving players before it trickles down
The loss of Rogic, Mooy, Jota, Hart and Starfelt has been painful. Our poor recruitment since then has done nothing to alleviate the situation. That said, we still managed to achieve the double and stay ahead of the dross in Scottish football.
If we have any intention of improving and progressing, especially in Europe, we need a few quality signings.
Rodgers is on record saying as much so let’s hope it will happen.
Gers have officially signed Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane. Who knows?
And our socials are filled with Moroccans
I miss the whole of Zambia blessing us each week when sakala was here
16 goals in 58 appearances in the Moroccan league hardly excites me. Why do we always sign forwards who don't score goals?
“Rodgers won’t be rushed”
Just that headline depresses me as yet again we’ll wait and see what kind of self damage Rangers do to themselves before reacting, if indeed react we do.
And if I hear any piiish about how we want to make a mark in Europe I will really lose my shiiit next time in the lounge.

Indeed. I’ve said on here many times I’ve no real expectations for us to perform in Europe. What I DO expect is that we perform FAR more convincingly domestically than last season’s horror show, and that needs a better quality, better quality squad. Starting keeper and LB are obvious (for the umpteenth window in a row on the latter), plus an upgrade on Scales, likely MOR replacement, a better winger than any of the shower we have, and a genuine alternative to Kyogo … that’s just for starters. So far, fook all, as ever.
… meant to say “better quality, better balanced squad”.
ffs the window is just opened and doesn’t close until the end of August. Change is coming just you wait and see.

You might be right, but KTF means feck all. We've known for months that Joe Hart was leaving. We’ve known for years we need better on the left side of defence. Lawwell came back, so did the stupid 2m projects. Failed mostly for years, yet here we are again. Clearly nothing prepared, bloated squad, full of never gonna be's, as per with Lawwell, clearly in charge. KTF? Na, prefer to use my brain based on years of experience of this crap. Hope to be surprised, but setting a low bar as far as expectations go.

Of course we’ve plenty of time in terms of the transfer window, but for once could we maybe actually go into the season with our key signings already in place AND having maybe been integrated with some pre-season action? Is that really too much to hope for? Said pre-season starts on Wed, league kicks off in 4 weeks, and we’ve signed nae cant, as per usual. Also as per usual, Pistol seems far more focussed on how much we can cash in with MOR. I get it, that’s our model, but feck me does the buying side of things ALWAYS have to be so last minute, and frankly amateur?

So another batch of re-hashed ‘Tic-related transfer “news” in today’s Beeb footie gossip …
Leicester City have joined the race to sign Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley as new manager Steve Cooper needs a replacement for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after his £30m move to Chelsea. (Scottish Sun On Sunday)
Celtic had a bid of £4m plus add-ons rejected by Norwich City for Adam Idah, but that was only an opening offer and the Scottish champions are mulling over their next move for the striker who was on loan in Glasgow last season. (Sunday Post, print edition)
Celtic are back round the table with Benfica in a bid to thrash out a deal for Paulo Bernardo, with the Portuguese club looking for £6m but the Scottish champions believing they can negotiate a transfer for around £4m, including a sell-on clause, for the 22-year-old midfielder who was on loan last season. (Sunday Mail)
Herediano head coach Walter Centeno is hoping there are no acceptable offers for Andy Rojas as he welcomed the 18-year-old forward, for whom Celtic are one of several European clubs credited with an interest, on his return from Copa America duty with Costa Rica. (Scottish Sun On Sunday)
Rocco Vata has admitted his Celtic transfer exit came "earlier than expected" after the 19-year-old winger sealed a switch to Watford. (The Herald On Sunday)
MOR … Sorry Foxes, you can’t afford him.
Idah … Well who knew this would become a saga after not agreeing a buy fee in his loan. I’m shocked.
Bernardo … Meh. Walk away at anything much above £4m.
Rojas … Another project, so probably has legs.
Vata … Been on the cards for a year. Meh.
