50m?

50 mill as an opening bid with it rising further

Outrageous amount of money, Barkley should stay put and play lots of games in a side who will finish in and around where united will this season.

£50m

Talk about overhyping English players

Martinez was asked this in the press conference. His response. Fifty million? We wouldn't loan out any players in January.

Barkley is playing terrifically well under his current manager. Doubt he'd see any development benefit in a move to reunite him with previous training staff.

We just paid almost 30 million for fellaini, I'm sure most clubs will be trying to rip us off from now on

Think he may have got the 50m figure from the paper the other day. Then went on to say we should bid 25m for shaw (which I wouldnt be against)

We don't want him. He's playing as a number 10 for Everton and our number 10 is better. Much better. He scores more goals and he makes more goals. And he goes by the name of Wayne Rooney.

£50m for Barkley? The world has gone mad. That would almost be enough to get us Herrera and Koke.

How many goals has he actually scored this season from this advanced role he's been given? As many as Evra?

£50m and Everton would gift wrap him for us.

£35m is reasonable.

I actually believe he is worth it if Torres cost the same amount. Massive talent.

Actually the player I was hoping utd might have had a punt on in the summer was james mccarthy. 23 years old and improving all the time and would have cost half utd paid for fellaini.

For a no.10 you would expect him to have more than 0 assists for the price being thrown around

It's a sideways step can't see it. City could get him in a couple of years though.

3 goals in 18 PL games, playing as a number 10 and he's worth £50m+ ?????

posted on 31/12/13

Fellaini is a better number 10. Certainly scored and made more goals.

Would he work behind Rooney with Rooney pushed further up? He definitely is a talent and seems to be doig it every week.

Its actually quite exciting times for England, quite a few talented youngsters seem to be around playing the game the 'right' way.

Dunno.......but would I drop RVP for 3 goal Barkley? No I wouldn't. Not in a million years.

We need PROPER central midfielders. Barkley is proving he's more of a number 10 and that's not what we're after.

Wayne Rooney 67/15 that didn't work out so bad. These are different times though and different players. Barkley won't play for the mancs.

Whatever happened to jack rodwell

Hopefully, you're right.

We can do so much better than him. And in a position we're badly in more need of too.

Rodwell was never rated so highly, the fella who found Rooney rates Barkley on a completely different level of player and what we've known for 6/7 years is finally baring fruit

On SSN Didi Hamann was saying we need a CB then Kevin Davies said we should go for Sneider.
