I know it's off topic but that AC Milan team Ruud use to play in was quality at the same level as the gens Barca maybe better. Marco Van Basaton what a striker.
Zico should be there too.
Grand Theft Auto: San-tos Andre-as (U2725)
He was a central attacking midfielder playing off our only striker
I agree with AC Milan point. think Barca play slightly better football but that AC team looked more dangerous.. if thats makes sense?

Graeme Souness was one of the best I have seen.
I only put in players i have seen a lot of. The ones names by you guys i have only seen little hence the reason for asking players to be added from your era.
And Gerrard is a superb player and this is from a United fan.
I don't think Scholes is in that top tier to be honest.
Amazing player with longevity counting a lot toward his legacy but when he was in his prime he was rated (just) below the top mids in Italy and Spain. And he never really did it at the international level.
Is it hindsight making some put him at the top of lists or revisionism? Dunno.
SuperGoon..im not sure you can give an objective opinion on RVP... sorry.
Hippo, team trophies have nothing to do with individual quality.
RUUD GULLIT
ZIDANE
DAVIDS
3 GREATS!
Way too many recent players. Deco, Ballack, Gerrard, Lampard, De la Pena are no where neaaaaaaaar the greatests ever.
Where's Sir Bobby Charlton
Totti - people mistake him for a striker which he is not
best midfielders of all time ?
and you've only involved players from 1990 onwards because thats when football started

Did you read the whole article where it says please add your own, or do you not possess that quality?
Bahama Spurs then mistakes Totti for a CM
no... because the article is about best midfielders of all time - and you've put ones from 1990 onwards.....
indicates you're a young fella
andre's samba scarf (U6253)
Deco ain't fit to lace Gazza's and Hagi's boots. Ballack was always overrated. Lampards a one trick pony.
Gerrard, however, is the complete footballer I'm afraid. Can play literally anywhere and has. Won 11 trophies average teams and been voted man of the match in finals.
I'd like to see fatty Lamps shunted out to LW, RW and then RB.
I'd put Bryan Douglas in there from yesteryear. Too bad his international career finished just before the 66 world cup.

Which is why i also put the players i have seen play. I am assuming you are older from that comment but it does not do wonders for your intelligence with the comments above. Are you also stating for some reason that being young is a bad thing and that i am wrong for being young?
what woudl you call him then andre's? At worst he's a CAM

so what? The OP stated the greatest players he has seen.
Why don't you compile a list of greats from the 1930s then?
Zidane played behind the striker in the free role so to speak. I wouldn't class him as a centre midfielder. The best I've seen is Xavi but I'm only 21. Nedved was my favourite though along with Rosicky in his Dortmund days.
Gazza....
