I remember seeing it/being forced to watch it about 15 years ago.

It showed a firework display, and a woman sat on a bench 50 yards away and nowhere near anything managed to catch fire. Ridiculous.

Watched it again a few weeks later. The same woman was sat in church minding her own business, thanking the lord she didn't burn to death, and she caught fire again, burning the church down. Even more ridiculous.

You're talking about Miranda Wayland's quote about under-representation of black lead characters in British drama aren't you? Her point that Luther wasn't black enough was based on the fact that Neil Cross wrote the character as white, so there was no cultural underpinning in Luther to anchor him to black experience, and the programme was only diverse on a superficial level. This was (and still is) wildly misinterpreted as 'Luther not black enough according to BBC's diversity chiefs', referring to the colour of his skin.

Again, it's a good argument to have, but not on the 'Idris Elba not black enough, says BBC' level.

The stupidity of people astounds me.

Racism means, and i quote the cambridge dictionary here, 'policies, behaviours, rules, etc. that result in a continued unfair advantage to some people and unfair or harmful treatment of others based on race.
So if white people are being discriminated against in job adverts then that is racism.
There's no such thing as positive racism there's only racism.


These people should be forced every day to repeat the mantra...
